How we pack it
Every order goes out in an insulated box with frozen gel packs. Our sausages are fully cooked, which is why they travel as well as they do.
Your box will arrive cold. It may not arrive frozen solid, and that is normal. Cold and fully cooked is exactly the condition it should reach you in. Put it in the refrigerator or freezer the day it lands.
When we ship
We ship Monday through Wednesday so no box sits in a warehouse over a weekend. Orders placed Thursday through Sunday go out the following Monday. You’ll get an email with tracking the moment your box leaves.
Where we ship
United States only, at this time.
Shipping cost
Calculated at checkout based on your address and the weight of your order. Orders of $80 or more ship free within the U.S.
When it arrives
Refrigerate at 40°F or below and use within 7 days, or freeze at 32°F or below for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator. Do not refreeze once thawed.
If you won’t be home, tell us at checkout rather than let the box sit in the Texas sun. A neighbour, an office, a shaded porch — anything helps.
If something goes wrong
Damaged, warm, late or missing? Email cotuafactory@gmail.com within 48 hours with your order number and a photo.
Wrong or incomplete addresses
Please double-check your address at checkout. If a box comes back to us because the address was wrong or incomplete, we’ll refund the product but not the shipping, and reshipping is at your cost.
Prefer to skip shipping?
We’re at The Woodlands, Memorial Villages and Fulshear farmers markets every weekend, and on the shelf at specialty stores across Texas.
